چکیده
Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is a valuable sugar-providing crop accounting for around 25% of global white sugar production. It an integral part the food industry. Several factors cause decrease in yield this crop. The infection phytopathogenic fungi one most hazardous. Though several methods to control Rhizoctonia solani have been developed, problem still not solved. Thus, goal work was investigate effect abiotic (pH, Eh, presence or absence O2) and biotic ones (microbial community) on fungal pathogen R. AG 2-2IIIB its protection. Microbiological were used conduct research. Thermodynamic calculations applied determine conditions necessary suppression 2-2IIIB. As result, comparison mediated efficiency growth carried out. Obtained data showed following: mainly provided via chemical buffers removal oxygen caused inhibition solani; values 5.5 ≤ pH 8.5, Eh −200 mV, inhibited growth. maintenance these microbial communities enhanced suppressive effect, bringing about death mycelium. study strains revealed inhibitory metabolites more effective

15 صفحه اولEvaluation of yield potential and resistance to rhizoctonia (Rhizoctonia solani) disease of new sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) hybrids
Rhizoctonia root rot disease is considered as one of the important diseases in sugar beet. Using resistant cultivars decreses production costs, especially application of fungicides and increases the efficiency in controlling of root rot disease. Therefore, growing of resistant cultivars is considered the best approach for disease control. To achieve this goal and to determine yield potential of...
متن کاملLeuconostoc spp. Associated with Root Rot in Sugar Beet and Their Interaction with Rhizoctonia solani.
Rhizoctonia root and crown rot is an important disease problem in sugar beet caused by Rhizoctonia solani and also shown to be associated with Leuconostoc spp. Initial Leuconostoc studies were conducted with only a few isolates and the relationship of Leuconostoc with R. solani is poorly understood; therefore, a more thorough investigation was conducted. In total, 203 Leuconostoc isolates were ...
متن کاملutility of fungicides for controlling rhizoctonia solani on sugar beet
rhizoctonia solani is the most serious problem on sugar beet beta vulgaris l. grown in north dakota and minnesota. picoxystrobin, a quinone outside inhibitor, and penthiopyrad, a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor, were used alone and in combinations for controlling r. solani ag 2-2 iiib on sugar beet under greenhouse conditions of 22 ± 2 °c and a 12-h photoperiod. fungicides were applied in-fur...
متن کاملNuclear magnetic resonance: a tool for imaging belowground damage caused by Heterodera schachtii and Rhizoctonia solani on sugar beet
Belowground symptoms of sugar beet caused by the beet cyst nematode (BCN) Heterodera schachtii include the development of compensatory secondary roots and beet deformity, which, thus far, could only be assessed by destructively removing the entire root systems from the soil. Similarly, the symptoms of Rhizoctonia crown and root rot (RCRR) caused by infections of the soil-borne basidiomycete Rhi...
